Beginning his nonprofit work as a teacher for the Massachusetts Audubon Society, Robert also held the positions of Manager of Corporate and Foundation Relations at the Appalachian Mountain Club, Director of Institutional Development at the Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities (now Historic New England), Director of Institutional Advancement at the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University and Director of Advancement at the Armenia Tree Project. At each of these organizations, Robert brought his knowledge of the New England philanthropic and nonprofit landscape to significantly increase raised revenue from grants, major gifts, and planned giving through written and verbal communications that are clear, concise and persuasive.
