Please join us for the only consultant peer learning session on Racial Equity and Capacity Building in New England specially tailored for consultants! The Alliance’s New England regional forum (and co-sponsored again by NCN!) this year is entitled:
Stepping into Bold Conversations -- Building Competencies for Facilitating Racial Equity Conversations:
A Skills Building Session for Capacity-Builders.
Thursday, January 30th 8:30 AM -1:00 PM at the NonProfit Center – 2nd Floor Conference Room, 89 South Street, Boston
This peer learning session is focused on challenging conversations about racial equity within their consulting practices- that is how to effectively bring up and integrate issues of racial equity with your clients, whether you are focused on strategic planning, board development, fundraising, or other type of consulting. A volunteer planning group of about 25 capacity builders has been working together over the past year to plan for a series of peer learning sessions. Additionally, we are very excited about a new racial equity tool for capacity builders that we designed, that can be used to assess your competency level and develop a plan for continued learning. This will be a highly interactive session which will use case scenarios and practical tools for building skills for bold racial equity conversations. This session is limited to the first 40 participants so do register right away! We have to charge a bit more this year to help pay for expenses, but it is still much lower than most similar sessions. And Alliance members get a significant discount!

P.S. Save the dates! We also are planning a two-day forum- “Stirring the Waters of Change: Integrating Racial Equity in Your Capacity Building Practice” May 21-22 also at the NonProfit Center.
